Thank you for engaging in Rugby Development's Strategy Roadshows! |
Over the course of the last week and a half, Scottish Rugby's Rugby Development department has been hosting Strategy Roadshows across the country to gain input from clubs, schools and societies into the 2024-28 strategy for the community game.
We'd like to take the opportunity to share our gratitude to all the players, coaches, match officials and volunteers who have taken part and shared their views and ideas on the priorities moving forward for the community game.
Those in the Caledonia Midlands and East regions still have one further opportunity to engage in our roadshows, with sessions taking place tomorrow, Wednesday 27 September, in Dundee and at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

Earn your Match Officiating qualification & enjoy Scotland v Spain!
|
There's still time to sign up to complete the Introduction to Match Officiating course this weekend!
Course attendees will recieve a complementary ticket to watch Scotland Women v Spain at Hive Stadium straight after!
Running from 1pm at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, we have an open course for any participant over the age of 15, plus a female only course.
There are many reasons to take up match officiating; remaining involved in the sport after playing, choosing to enhance your knowledge of the laws or progressing through the career pathway to achieve your goal in officiating. No matter what the reason, officiating is a rewarding, exciting, and enjoyable way to stay involved in rugby.

Last weekend a squad of 35 players and coaches travelled to the South-East seaside resort of Saint-Raphael to represent Scotland in the inaugural Amateur Rugby World Cup.
Oban faced fierce competition in the Pool stage against South Africa, Romania and Tonga. On day one they suffered defeat at the hands of South Africa (0-26) but bounced right back with a 15-13 win over Romania, before a hard fought game against Tonga (0-22).
The team continue their time in France playing in a tournament with the other teams who did not qualify out of the group stages, and have taken part in a special welcome ceremony in Digne-les-Bains.
Well done to Oban from everyone at Scottish Rugby! |
