Inter-district Championship Finals
|
Scottish Rugby has announced details for worldwide viewing of the Inter-district Championship Finals day on Sunday 21 May at Braidholm, Glasgow.
The South and Caledonia Reds booked their places in the final with wins over the Edinburgh district and Glasgow & West respectively.
The final will kick off at 3.30pm, with coverage starting at 3.25pm, with commentary from Bruce Millar and Calum Johnston.
The Edinburgh district will face Glasgow & West in the third/fourth place play off, which will also be available to watch live, with coverage starting at 12.25pm, ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off. Dale Clancy will be commentating on this match, with analysis by Calum Johnston.
In addition to the worldwide coverage, a highlights show with the best of the action from both games will be available on the Scottish Rugby website and social media channels the following week.
Scottish Rugby’s Vice-President and Chairman of the Club Rugby Board, Keith Wallace said: “With the Inter-district Championship returning to the fore, following two well supported cracking games showing real appetite for the concept, it is fantastic to be able to mark the Finals day by bringing coverage of the action to a worldwide audience.
“These two matches will be the last games of the season as domestic competitions draw to a close, and I can think of no better way to mark the hard work of all those involved than by allowing as many people to enjoy it as possible.”

Reminder: Community Game survey |
The Club Rugby Board, in conjunction with the Rugby Development department, are in the early stages of creating a new strategy for the community game to be launched in 2024.
To support this process we are seeking feedback from clubs, schools and societies on the previous 2019-23 strategy (available in the link below) and views on areas of focus for the next strategy.
Please note that we are looking for one submission per club or school.
Please view the survey via the link below. The deadline for submission is Sunday 21 May.
Results of this survey will be used to shape the 'have your say' strategy session at the Community Game Conference on Sunday 11 June at BT Murrayfield (please book a place at the conference via SCRUMS).
Thank you in advance and we look forward to seeing you at the conference in June.
